How does an Islamabad contractor deliver a PEB in Faisalabad?

What approvals apply to a PEB in Faisalabad?
The approving body follows the plot, so confirm it before you order steel.
- For a plot within the Faisalabad Development Authority area, the FDA Building and Zoning Regulations apply. The copy published on fda.gov.pk is the draft dated 23 June 2021 (with amendments till 2020); it includes site rules for industrial plots and a chapter on sanctioning building plans. Ask FDA for the current version.
- M-3 Industrial City, at Sahianwala Interchange on the M-4 Motorway, is a FIEDMC estate. FIEDMC runs a One Window Operations Center there for investor services. For a plot in M-3 or any other estate, check with the estate or board.
- For a cantonment or private housing scheme plot, check with the board or the scheme.

Which wind and seismic loads govern a Faisalabad frame?
The plot's own values, taken from BCP 2021, which refers to ASCE 7-16; members and connections are then checked to AISC 360-16.
We never borrow loads from a nearby city. The responsible structural engineer sets the wind and seismic values for your site and records them in the design basis. Ask every bidder to put those values in writing. A lighter load can make a cheaper offer that is not comparable.

Usually, yes. We would normally design the new bay as a separate frame on its own foundations, so it does not lean on the old structure. We need the existing drawings or a measured survey first, and the new bay still needs plan approval.
Which design standards does SEED use for steel buildings?
SEED's steel-building design uses AISC 360-16 (LRFD) for steel design, with loads from the Building Code of Pakistan 2021, which refers to ASCE 7-16. The code basis and site wind and seismic parameters are confirmed for each project, and the responsible structural engineer signs the design.
