PEB steel buildings in Lahore

SEED WorksUpdated

PKR 1,100–1,650 per sq ft is the indicative band for the steel frame of a standard 20–30 m span PEB warehouse built in Lahore (indicative, Nov 2026, steel frame only, excl. taxes, final quote after design). SEED Works designs the frame in Islamabad, ships the steel to your Lahore plot and sends a team to erect it.

Who builds PEB steel buildings for Lahore plots?

SEED Works is an Islamabad contractor that takes PEB work across Punjab, Lahore included. SEED also has an office in Lahore (91-K, Block K, Model Town).

Our engineers in Islamabad model and design the frame, then issue shop drawings. The steel is fabricated off site to approved drawings and moved to Lahore by road in planned loads. A SEED erection team then mobilises to the plot and stays until the frame is bolted, plumbed and handed over.

This model suits owners who want one accountable party for design and erection, and who can allow lead time before steel arrives.

What does a PEB steel frame cost in Lahore?

We use the same national bands for every city; a Lahore plot does not change the steel itself. Freight is confirmed in the quotation. Access and crane hire are set per site.

Which Lahore buildings are a good fit for a PEB?

Single-storey buildings with wide clear spans gain most from a PEB. Multi-storey frames are usually better as conventional steel.

How does a Lahore PEB job run?

Most of the work happens before anyone reaches the Lahore plot. Site time stays short when the drawings and foundations are right.

What wind and seismic basis do we use for Lahore?

Loads come from the Building Code of Pakistan 2021, which points to ASCE 7-16; the steel is designed to AISC 360-16.

We do not reuse one set of loads across cities. The responsible structural engineer fixes the wind and seismic values for your exact plot and writes them into the design basis. Every price then refers to that basis.

What approvals does a PEB in Lahore need?

The approving body depends on where your plot sits. Settle it before steel is ordered.

  • Inside the Lahore Development Authority area, plans are assessed under the LDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2019, as amended.
  • For a plot in a cantonment, an industrial estate or a private housing scheme, check the approval route with the scheme or the cantonment board.

Under design-and-build, our structural drawings can go into the application set. Who files the plan is agreed in the contract. We do not publish approval times.

Which SEED projects can a Lahore client look at?

Our recorded PEB work is outside Lahore: steel sheds at Kundai for FWO and a 49,000 sq ft crane workshop in Rawalpindi. Both show the ship-and-erect model working away from Islamabad.

Steel sheds at Kundai, Cholistan

Eight prefabricated steel structures for FWO, fabricated and erected by SEED: portal frames clad in sandwich panels. Kundai lies in the Cholistan (East) Block, Bahawalpur District.

Electronics repair workshop, Rawalpindi

A PEB workshop shed of about 49,000 sq ft, with overhead travelling crane bridges up to 20 t, built in 2020–2021. Client not named publicly.

Agricultural research facility, Chaapu

Civil and structural works near Bahawalpur: an RCC superstructure, industrial floor, external works and building envelope. It is an RCC building, not a PEB.
